Program Internship

Project/Unit: Advocacy and Networking Program

Location: This position is located at GADC’s Phnom Penh office, frequent travel to the provinces

Reporting lines: S/he will be directly working with and reporting to Program Manager

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Intern will focus on assisting implement program/project activities for Advocacy and Networking
Program in GADC’s target areas. ANP program target the whole country at the national, provincial,
district and commune levels. The target groups are various women including women victims of GBV
and land eviction, street vendors, garment workers, entertainment workers, domestic workers, women
leaders at sub-national level, youth groups and women leader in public service.

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. Communication with the program beneficiaries and project team members.
2. Support the administration and operation in the advocacy and networking program
3. Assisting in monitor and data record for program and GADC reports.

 

EXPECTED INPUTS/OUTPUTS

Working closely with the program team, the key responsibilities are:

– Training: assist in conduct, organize, monitor and facilitate training/workshop/meeting campaign including estimate, advance and settle budge, and reporting.
– Monitoring and Evaluation: monitor and evaluate program events and campaign.
– Translation: translate training material, evaluation and curriculum from Khmer into English and vice versa. Provide translation assistance as required.
– Documenting data both hard and soft copy to all relavant documents in program.
– Other: provide administrative support, media monitoring, daily media monitoring entry and advocacy tracking plan.

 

SCOPE OF WORK

– The intern will do her/his internship at GADC for full-time at least six months.
– The intern will work at GADC’s office and undertake required travel to the community when necessary.
– The intern will be required to work closely with the ANP team, and other team members across GADC’s programs.

      empowerment.
     – Determination to create societal change that will have a positive impact on women.
2. Abilities and skills
     – Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity;
     – Skilled in MS Office and Windows
     – Fluent in writing, speaking and reading English and Khmer;
     – Ability to identify and find solutions to resistance to change.
3. Values and attitudes
     – Openness and honesty;
     – Strong support for GADC goals and commitment to gender equality in communication and practice;
     – Commitment to continual learning and self-development.
