Public Forum on Gender and the Implementation of Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and the Protection of the Victims

04 July 2014  Public forum to discuss and share information related to domestic violence law (DV Law). Women and girls need strong support when they turn to the Law; public understanding of it must improve; and many deep-set opinions need to change. 250 participants including civil society, commune councilors from provinces, university representatives and college students in Phnom Penh will participate in a public forum “Gender and the Implementation of Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and the Protection of the Victims” on Saturday, July  5th.

The forum is being organized by Royal University of Phnom Penh and Gender and Development for Cambodia (GADC) funded by Spanish Agency of International Development Cooperation through Paz y Desarrollo (Peace and Development) – a Spanish non-governmental organization.

WHAT  :              Sharing the information of the mechanism of the implementation of “Domestic Violence Law”                                  to deal with domestic violence issues and the effect of law implementation to victims
