Consultative workshop on Gender Curriculum in Academic

Phnom Penh 11 June 2014 – Gender and Development for Cambodia is pleased to inform a consultative workshop on Gender Curriculum in Academic on June 26, 2014 starting at 8:00am-12:00pm at Orchidee restaurant. 

GADC aims to create the curriculum of gender studies into the academic study and advocate RUPP and other universities keep continue to pilot or adapt this gender curriculum in universities. The curriculum will be fill a gape of gender study in the university level, and build the capacity of university lecturers to teach the gender course in their university.

Objectives of the Workshop

  • To introduce the draft curriculum for gender studies to key persons from public and private academic institution, government staff, and NGOs staff
  • To consult and gather the potentials comments and input to improve the quality of Gender Curriculum 

Participants

About 25 participants will be joining the workshops on 26th June 2014. They are from public and private academic institution, government staff, and NGOs staffs who are able to provide potentials input and comment on the draft curriculum for gender studies. There are experienced on the gender issues and gender studies.
