In cooperation with Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) under
financial support by Pyd, Capacity Development Program had developed
training curriculum on “Understanding to Gender Concepts” specifically
for female and male of RUPP’s students from different departments such
as environment, tourism, social science, geography, Khmer literature …
be attain awareness about the gender concept relative with development working
be understanding about women’s issue regard to other sector in Cambodia
are able and can identified the basic of human rights and mechanism of women protection

3. Expected Results Participants:
Female participants increase knowledge 30%, and that of male participants increase 30%.
30 participants (15 female) will change their negative
behavior/attitude. 20% of the participants disseminate their knowledge
to their friends, room-mates, family and community of each training
4. Target group – 2-day of 2 trainings on gender awareness are conducted to 60 RUPP’s students (30 female)

Desk review and develop the training manual related topic.
Draft and final the training content and share responsibilities with RUPP team.
Conduct two-day of three trainings on Gender Awareness to 60
students consisted of 30 female and 30 male from different departments.

“Gender Mainstreaming in Academic”. The project is under implementation
of Capacity Development Program team of GADC and RUPP’s teacher team.
The forum on gender awareness rising is a
part of gender mainstreaming activity in academic of RUPP under
supported by PyD. The activity will hold by RUPP and GADC to encourage
RUPP’s student to learn more about around topic such as masculinity,
gender ideology, gender equality, GBV, DV, women in leadership, women
and economic development.

3. Expected Result
40 participants are aware on gender issues and impact of men and women from Khmer negative perspectives.

Phnom Penh 18 August 2014– GADNet
collaborates with Promundo (US-base organization work to promote gender
equality) is organizing GADNet network meeting on 28-29 August 2014
at Orchidee restaurant (located at No. 106, Pasteur (St. 51), corner of
Chakrey Ponn (St. 208), Sangkat Boeung Raing, Khan Daun Penh, 12211
Phnom Penh). It is a great opportunity for new members to understand
about network activities, approaches and its long term strategies.

Phnom Penh 17 August 2014– Gender
and Development for Cambodia (GADC) is organizing district community
forum on “Help Women for Our community” which will be held on August 20,
2014 at 8:00am in Kos Krolor commune, Kos Krolor district, Battambong
forum aims to raise awareness for women to understand about rights,
gender based-violent, and other supporting programs theri in commune or
district and services for women. It also provide a chance for women to
share their concern and seek support related to gender based-vilont,
land, women’s rights issues.
